Live Lovelander: David Hays

Tell us about you:

I am semiretired and live at ArtSpace Loveland Lofts(adjacent to the historic Feed and Grain). Artistically, I’ve been a professional actor, voice-over artist, photographer, and all around video technician. And I ride a bike, a lot.

How long have you lived in Loveland & what brought you here?

I’ve lived in Loveland for over 25 years. Initially I moved here to work for Hewlett-Packard.

What is your favorite way to get out and enjoy our town?

On my bike.

What is one word that you would use to describe Loveland?

Just right. (Okay, so that’s two words.)

What is something that is missing from our community that you would love to see implemented?

More bike paths.

Our mission is to celebrate, engage and unify Loveland. Can you share something you did recently to celebrate, engage or unify our town?

I’m anxiously awaiting acceptance in grad school at UNC Loveland Center at Centerra! (A mere 6-mile commute by bicycle from ArtSpace.)

What does your ideal Loveland weekend look like?

40 to 100 miles of cycling all over northern Colorado’s bike trails, seeing many of the beautiful sights Loveland offers, taking a break at The Coffee Treeon 4th Street, and ending at my beautiful home by the tracks in downtown Loveland
