Love Letter: A Community of Volunteers

Place a notice for a position on one of the 20 City of Loveland boards and commissions, and it won’t take long for applications to fill the inbox.  There are nearly 200 positions to be filled, and seats do not sit vacant for long.

City councilors are privileged to serve as liaisons on our boards and commissions.  For us, the amazement begins with interviewing applicants. They bring attitudes of gratitude and service, along with their amazing skills and experience, to each position. Personally, I have found selecting people for appointment a difficult process, as I’m simply overwhelmed by the number of applicants and the unique qualities they possess.

My amazement grows each month as members demonstrate their high levels of commitment to making Loveland a great place to live and work.  Expecting nothing in return for dedicating their special “gifts” of service to our community, members are grateful for the opportunity to contribute.

I know from experience the high value the Loveland City Council has for the opinions expressed by each member and the recommendations they make.

With much appreciation, thank you for your service to our community. Each of you make Loveland a very special place and make it a great experience to #liveloveland.
